Clothing/Appearance:

The obvious, of course, is the cross-shaped scar on his cheek.

Bright red/orange hair with long bangs, violet eyes. His clothes are generally brightly colored - ranging from ~~pink~~ magenta to red gi, with white hakama. Always wears sandals. He'll also always have the Sakabatou at his side, and very rarely removes it from his belt, unless he's doing laundry or sitting down.

He also looks much younger than he actually is, and is canonly mistaken for someone ten years younger. He keeps his hair in a low ponytail, and is pretty neat about his appearance.

Habits/Mannerisms/Body Language:

The trick about Kenshin is that while he seems like he has an open appearance, it's actually very closed off. He's cheerful and usually smiling, friendly. He keeps a general distance from people with very few exceptions, and when standing and chatting keeps his hands in his sleeves, unless he feels threatened. Then he very casually lets one arm hang while the other hand rests on the hilt of his sword.

If he IS comfortable with someone, he'll stand a little closer and adopt a more comfortable way of standing. Even then, however, he rarely moves, if only to shift a bit or to brush some hair from his face. With children he's a bit more open, and he'll pat them on the head or put a hand on their shoulder if they seem comfortable with it. Otherwise, he's very good at distancing himself without actually . . . distancing himself.

When talking to someone, they have his utmost attention while at the same time he's got his attention focused around them as well. If the topic of conversation turns more personal, he'll gently steer it away if possible. He does have a habit of touching his scar whenever it does get personal.

He speaks very politely - women and children in particular get this, while he tends to be sliiiightly less so with men. Women are automatically dubbed "Name-dono", and the same goes for anyone of a higher authority then he. Otherwise, he'll refer to them by given name.

If he's around someone he's comfortable with, he drops a bit of the formalities even more, and show a bit more of his secret tsundere-bitch side. But this is very rare.

The Laundry Hut

Typical Daily Routine:

Wake up at dawn, head for the showers to clean up, then head back to the laundry hut to get started on that day's laundry. He'll generally spend all morning and most of the afternoon here - he does most of the laundry with the machines, but his own and anyone else's who requests it gets handwashed.
When lunchtime rolls around, he'll go grab something light to eat and some tea, and spend a bit of time in the mess hall before taking the long way back. He'll visit Xingba or Okita if they're around.

If it's nice out, he'll wander around a bit more, leaving Camp Proper and heading up either around Canada or towards the direction of the cave/treehouse area - but never too close there, he's heard the explosions and doesn't want to get involved in that.

When nighttime rolls around, he'll wander back to the laundry hut and finish up whatever is left to do, head to bed.

Does he make his own bed?:

He has a little futon he unrolls at night in the back of the laundry hut, and rolls back up in the morning. If he remembers to use it. So yes, he does. :|b

State of the Union:

Dee

IC: Dee is awesome. Like, there are no words for how awesome he's doing right now. The last thread with Ryo really brought his mood up, and I honestly don't think he's ever been this happy while being in camp. He's also happy that Bikky's back - which he will never admit, gtfo - and that just kind of adds to his good mood. There are very few things that could actually bring down his mood at the moment. NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN CAN.

OOC: I've been playing him a bit more often lately, and I think that's brought me out of the "meh" mood I've been in with him for a while. Updating helped a lot, and I'm glad that I get to play from newer canon. I'm working on getting him out even more now, to revive the camp relationships he had and start some new ones.

Ideas: Post post post. I haven't posted with Dee in almost 10 months. There is seriously something wrong with that.

Dropping: Never. Not unless everyone important to him suddenly drops.

Ikki

IC: While things have been alright for him lately, he's kind of . . . antsy. In that "I've been doing the same shit over and over" kind of way. He's also been sick, so he hasn't been able to use A-T for the past week, and that's driving him up a wall. But all in all he's Ikki, and he'll bounce back and pretend nothing has happened and move on with his plans to once again use the volcano for dubious means.

OOC: Sometimes I worried I'm not retarded enough with him. But then he'll have a thread and do something so unbelievably stupid it puts all my worries to rest. :|b

Ideas: I have no ideas for him. :|b

Dropping: NEVERRRRRR.

Lambo

IC: Baby: Loves camp, loves being with everyone, and doesn't even realize he's trapped anymore. He's totally chasing strange-shaped animals as I type this.

Adult: is pretty zen about everything. He kind of enjoys when camp messes with the bazooka and lets him stay in camp longer than five minutes, because he has friends his younger self doesn't have. And he also gets to spend more time getting to know the young Vongola family.

OOC: Lambo has become such a backburner that sometimes I forget I have him. I'm not sure if this is good or not. I love playing him when I do! But I don't bring him out as much as I should, and it kind of bothers me. He's not really . . . in danger of being dropped yet, but.

Ideas: GET HIM OUT MORE, god.

Dropping: Fairly high but like I said, not likely yet.

Mokona

IC: Still loves camp. ♥ While she is sad that people have left, Mokona knows that she will see them again one day, somehow, and that's what keeps her happy. Plus, her "family" is here, and that's all she really needs.

OOC: Mokona is good. |D I enjoy every time I bring her out, and while I don't do it as much as I used to, I'm content with her being a borderline backburner. She had her primary-ness for a while, and I'll probably go back to her in a few months.

Ideas: More playercest mascot antics, FEATHER POST, Marcy playtime post, PAY FOR HER ACCOUNT sob

Mieu

IC: Also loves camp! And is in an . . . okay place! He hasn't talked to Master yet about Van being in camp, and while he has talked to Van a bit, he's worried. :( But all in all, he's a very content cheagle.

OOC: Mieu had been in danger of being dropped for a long time. And then the anime came out and revived my love for him times ten. I WILL NEVER DROP HIM EVER he is too cute and while sometimes I worry about not playing him enough, I am content with how often I do play him. :(((

Ideas: ICON REVAMP, playercest mascot antics, turning him into a human.

Momotaros
IC: Is good as long as Ryoutarou's there and isn't getting himself into too much trouble and is happy. Ryoutarou happy = Momotaros happy.

OOC: Uh . . . I'm kind of burnt out on him, to be honest. I'm hoping that when the movie comes out I'll feel like playing him again, but as for now . . . I don't know. It's hard to explain. WE SHALL SEE.

IC: Is in an okay place; he misses Kaoru and Yahiko and everyone, but he's also glad they can't be trapped with him here. And despite having former enemies with him in camp (HI OKITA) he is very zen about it all. It's safe to say he's somewhat happy, even.

OOC: Kenshin is so much fun to play, because he's the complete opposite of what I usually play. I don't get him out as often as I like, but I've been better at it lately. Plus, my love for RK has been revived ten-fold, and all I really want right now are canonmates. ):

Ideas: Post introducing himself. Something not involving laundry.

Goku
IC: Is . . . very hard to explain, and in other ways, is very easy. He loves camp! He loves being able to make friends and hang out with people and generally be a kid, and then there's the fact that he can spend time with Sanzo like he did before the journey. On the other hand, he's worried because they're trapped and if anything happens (re: his diadem breaking/coming off) it's not like they can clean things up and move onto the next town. It's not something he thinks about often, but it's there in the back of his head.

OOC: I LOVE GOKU SO MUCH and canon is awesome and bawwww and more awesome and more baaaawww and I just. Love playing him.

This is laaaaate

When Kenshin is "himself", he generally uses the term "sessha" when referring to himself, instead of something like "watashi" or "ore. Viz has translated it to "this one", and other places have translated it to "this unworthy one" - it's basically his way of saying "I". I'm going with the Viz translation, as well as throwing "I" in there every so often because really, it's just easier.

Another thing he does is end his sentences in "de gozaru" or some form of that. Media Blasters (which dubbed the anime) translated it as "that it is/does" etc. I'm not going with this because. Its sounds kind of ridiculous and Kenshin dosn't actually repeat himself that way. It's just how he talks! Archaic or whatever the word is.

He also refers to women and people of high authority as "name-dono"; Wiki translates this as "lord" or "lady" and is a really polite way of talking? Idk. But it's a lot better than "miss" or "mister" kthnx media blasters.

But when Kenshin becomes the Battousai, his speech patterns change drastically, and this is one of the ways that people notice Kenshin isn't "Kenshin" anymore. He drops the formalities and uses "ore" instead of "sessha", and drops the "de gozaru" entirely.

Medical Info: Kenshin's body is deteriorating; because Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu is a style meant for someone who's big and muscular, it has worn down on Kenshin, leaving him maybe four or five years left of using it. Otherwise, he's healthy!

Physical Traits: SHORT AND LIGHT good god he is tiny. There's also the obvious scar on his cheek. ALSO does not look his age at all.

What's Okay To Mention Around Him: Any and everything! Kenshin is being taken from post-series, so anything up until before the five year time-skip chapter is cool. o/ Mentioning his past and whatnot is cool, too, but he will get suspicious.

Character: Himura Kenshin
Series: Rurouni Kenshin
Character Age: 28
Job: Laundry Boy

Canon: At first glance, Kenshin is nothing more than a mild-mannered wanderer. With bright red hair and violet eyes, Kenshin is often mistaken for someone half his age due to his youthful looks. He's friendly, willing to give help to those in need and asks nothing in return for himself. He's also a sometimes punching bag and magnet for comedic violence, often using the word "oro" as an exclamation. Add in his almost unhealthy love of doing laundry and it's not hard to see why most people see him as a harmless and goofy young man.

In reality, Kenshin is much more - he is the Hitokiri Battousai, a former assassin of the Meiji War who has spent the last ten years traveling Japan to atone for his sins. Having traded in his katana for a sakabato, or reverse-bladed sword, Kenshin has made a vow to never kill again. . . . which is a difficult vow to keep, what with all these people showing up trying to kill him or reawaken the Battousai. But those days are in the past, and Kenshin will do anything to protect everyone, especially those people close to him.

As a note, Kenshin uses "this one" to refer to himself.
